When Should I Replace My Air Conditioner?

Your HVAC system can last for many years if properly maintained. The average lifespan of an air conditioner is 15 to 20 years. However, a brand new air conditioner may save you money over time if your current AC unit exhibits any of the following symptoms:

  1. Repairs – The NEED for air conditioning repair INCREASES. Then maybe it's time to consider an upgrade or replacement if your equipment becomes less reliable.

  2. Energy Costs – Your RISING energy costs seem to be due to more than just the inflation of cost of goods. A significant increase in your electric bill most likely means you need a new unit.

  3. Home is Hot – If your unit is constantly running and your home still FEELS HOT or not as cool as you think it should, you may need to replace your air conditioning filters or consider an HVAC replacement.

  4. Poor Air Quality – If the indoor air QUALITY within your home DECLINES, you may need a good air duct cleaning or a replacement air conditioning unit. We have you covered either way and  a modern unit keeps your home cool and REMOVES outdoor CONTAMINANTS from the air, such as pollen and dirt.

  5. Unit Age – Older units are inefficient when measured by current standards. When a unit is near the end of its useful life, continued repairs are just throwing money away and delaying the inevitable. Modern units are more advanced and can help save you tons on utility bills.
